Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
Lightscale AI Inc. respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information on our public website at lightscale.ai, in accordance with Swiss data protection law (the Federal Act on Data Protection, FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The Lightscale AI studio at go.lightscale.ai is a separate service with its own privacy notice, presented when you sign in.
Scope
This policy applies only to the public Lightscale AI website at lightscale.ai. The Lightscale AI studio and the applications you build with it (at go.lightscale.ai) are a separate service that processes data under its own privacy notice, shown when you sign in. This policy does not cover the studio, your account, or the applications you create.
Data Collection
Lightscale AI does not set first-party cookies, run its own analytics, or use tracking technologies. We only collect personal data when you voluntarily contact us (see below).
If you switch the website language or the pricing currency, your preference is stored locally in your browser (localStorage). So that you are not redirected twice, the website also notes for the current browser tab when it last chose a language for you (sessionStorage). Neither leaves your device or is transmitted to us.
Self-Hosted Media
All content on this website, including images and the logo, is served from our own server. Browsing this website does not contact third-party services and does not transfer data to third parties.
To show prices in EUR or USD, our server retrieves current exchange rates from a public rate service. Your browser only talks to our server, and no personal data is sent to the rate service.
Server Logs
When you visit this website, our web server in Switzerland, run by our Swiss hosting provider Hostfactory, records technical information such as your IP address, the time of access, and the requested page. We use it only to keep the website secure and running, which is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; for Switzerland, the Swiss FADP). This data is automatically deleted after 14 days at most, unless longer retention is required by law or authority order. It is not used for tracking or profiling.
Contact Form and Email
If you reach out through our contact form or by email, we process your name, email address, and message in order to handle your request. This data is:
- Transmitted to us by email and stored securely
- Used solely to respond to your request
- Not shared with third parties, except our email providers, which process it on our behalf: Proton AG (Switzerland) sends the form message, and Google Ireland Limited (Google Workspace) hosts our mailbox
- Possibly processed by Google outside Switzerland and the EU, including in the United States. Google is certified under the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and its data processing terms include the EU standard contractual clauses
- Processed to answer your inquiry and to take steps before a possible contract, and in our legitimate interest in replying to messages (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR; for Switzerland, the Swiss FADP)
- Kept as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, and deleted no later than 12 months after our last exchange, or earlier on request
Your Rights
Under Swiss data protection law and, where applicable, the EU GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Restrict the processing of your data
- Object to data processing
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
Right to Complain
You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority: in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, www.edoeb.admin.ch); in the EU, the authority in your country of residence or work.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
